You can train your craft, your body, and your mind. That’s it. If you are only training your craft and body, you are missing the mental edge, the component that will take you above and beyond your competitors.

How do you know when you aren’t in the present moment? We get so caught up in the story of ‘me’ that we fail to notice our mind is anywhere but in the present.

If you aren’t controlling your mind then your mind is controlling you.

What is flow state?

“optimal state of consciousness where we feel our best and perform our best.” Mihály Csíkszentmihályi

Tool: Calm Down Quick

How: Double inhale through the nose, long exhale out the mouth. Repeat x 3. make the exhale longer than your double inhales - check the video for a how-to.

Why: The physiological sigh occurs when carbon dioxide levels in the lungs and bloodstream are too high. Stress can cause this and the physiological sigh helps lower it.

When: Stressed out? Don’t control your thoughts with your thoughts. Use your body!
